What a surprise, perhaps to you, and certainly to us. We’ve decided to get married!
Some of you have been our friends for so long we practically grew up together.
Some of you we met as craft brewers over the years, and when we first started seeing one another, as more than colleagues on a Board of Directors (romantic huh?), you were really lovely and supportive. You know who you are.
And some of you are newer friends, but no less central to our community, our story, and our gratitude.
And of course there’s our burgeoning family- we love you guys.
All festivities will be at our place, Mighty Arrow Ranch, in Occidental, California. It’ll be a mashup of fun, interesting, loving friends and family who mean so much to us.

The Weekend Big Picture
What To Wear!
Here are a few things to know:
We’ll be outside (or under tents). You know how weather outside can be: you’ll look smart and feel comfortable with a warmer layer for the evening, and depending on the forecast, even a light raincoat. Fingers crossed.
The weather in July is generally warm to nice and warm, but not overly hot. It will cool down at night.
Here’s our attire description: chic, ranch with a sprinkle of special night! Dick will be wearing japanese denim jeans and a nice jacket, you don’t need to overthink this!

The roads in “West County” Sonoma are winding, narrow and dark. We highly recommend using the shuttles we’ll be providing from the hotels in Santa Rosa & Occidental, or hire a car service. More details in Lodging.

Start at Shell Beach parking lot. The first mile is up hill. Three beautiful and distinct ecologies. Half way is beautiful Pomo Canyon Campground, come back by way of Red Hill trail, a left turn off of what is otherwise an out-and-back.

Western Hills Garden is a stunning example of cultivated biodiversity, home to rare and important plant species, many that are nearly extinct in nature. The garden includes five ponds, 34 bridges, a magnificent folly inspired by the British garden designer Penelope Hobhouse, rare conifers, a camellia forest, endangered Chinese maples, dozens of fern varieties, and perennial shrubs as far as the eye can see.
Our friends and the owners of Western Hills, Hadley and Kent, have graciously offered to conduct a tour on Friday or Saturday. Their website, https://www.westernhillsgarden.com will have details!
Accommodations
-There are 4 rooms left at The Occidental Lodge, the closest, moderately priced lodging. You’ll want to call them, the wedding block function doesn’t work on their website. PLEASE mention the Jordan/Cantwell wedding so they clear out the hold. We recommend this as a good option. It’s 1 mile from our place.
- We have a block of rooms in Santa Rosa at The AC Hotel Wine Country (a Marriott property).
-The Hyatt Regency Sonoma Wine Country is 2/10 of a mile from The AC. We don’t have a block of rooms there, but it’s a good, close to the shuttles, higher end option.
-We will run shuttles before and after the events. Stay tuned for specific timing details on shuttles.
-We have camping on site if that’s your jam.
-Don’t forget the possibility of tree houses at The Redwood Alliance!
